Antibiotic-free raising

For decades Guidi Farms has produced fine poultry, Leghorn chickens, free range chickens, cockerels, Guinea fowl and capons from the traditional Emilia-Romagna region alongside high-quality chickens. Today all these birds are raised 100% antibiotic free. From the very beginning, and with the support of his family and staff, Giancarlo Guidi was certain of one thing: Poultry, just like all other animals, should be raised in optimum conditions in order to be well. The feed must be healthy and balanced, the air quality good, the temperature suited to all phases of growing and everything kept as hygienic as possible. If raising is performed in a protected, climate controlled environment then the bird will not fall sick. Over the years the facilities have improved and raising methods have been adopted which go far further than industry standards require. All of this hard work means that production is now 100% antibiotic-free. The project began in 2012 and the objective was reached in 2014. This was before the public became aware of antibiotic resistance and was quite simply the work of a father and grandfather concerned about the health of his children and grandchildren. The products carrying the new antibiotic-free declaration arrived on supermarket shelves in June 2016.
